About Lisa Ford

Soon after receiving her BS in Art Education from Pennsylvania State University, Lisa Ford began her art teaching career in the public schools and taught for 30 years in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District in Berwyn, PA.  During this time she earned her MA in Art Education at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and an MA in Theatre at Villanova University.  She also studied painting extensively at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.  Eight years into her public school teaching career she additionally began teaching drawing and painting privately in her home studio. After recently retiring from public school teaching, Lisa teaches oil painting for adults at the Phoenixvillage Art Center and continues to teach privately in her home studio that is situated on a lovely acre in Chester County, Pennsylvania.   Lisa's interdisciplinary approach is evident in her teaching, work and life.  She performs and exhibits her works in Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
